The Tibet Autonomous Region is a province of China. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the largest and highest plateau in the world, with an average elevation of 4500 meters above sea level. Tibet borders the regions of Xinjiang, Qinghai, Sichuan, and Yunnan, and to the south is bordered by India, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar. Nepal tourist places map shows that most areas of the Republic of Nepal are in the Himalayas. The country’s neighbours are China in the north and India in the south, and India in the west and east. Nepal has Mount Everest (8,848 meters) as the highest point and Kechana Kalan (60 meters) as the lowest point. Nepal spans many climatic regions and natural environments and has a variety of unique plant and animal species.
