  In today's world, the challenges we face are more complex than ever before. Modern challenges that don’t respect borders require scientists and professionals to move beyond protected social boundaries and embrace methods of collaboration that foster greater scientific interdependence.
  
  The “Facilitating Collaboration” message board aims to promote greater collaboration in the scientific process by encouraging sharing of: social method and tools; best practices in collaboration; lessons learned from overcoming the challenges inherent in scientific collaboration; and techniques that create shared direction, alignment, and commitment among scientists in the pursuit of advancing science for the betterment of humanity.
