• the Affordable Care Act and Preventive Health Services (0) A significant provision of the Affordable Care Act has been cost free preventive health care madndated in 2010.  Insurance would now cover preventive healthcare services. These included cancer screening to reproductive health cae as determined bythe United States Preventive Task Force and has benefitted millions. This core provisio has now been revoked by a Texas Federal Judge that in turn now applies throughout the United States. This action will undoubedly wind its way to the Supreme Court. It is one more attempt to dismantle key provisions of the Affordable Care Act.

• The Practice of Medicine (5) What constitutes the practice of medicine?  It is fundamentally a relatinship between physician/licensed practioners and patient. The former are the decision makers and attempt to do what is best for the patient.  Are legislative, judicial and management bodies practicing medicine by imposing their will and decisions on practitoners? Do their decisions interfere with the practice of medicine? Should their ability to make these descisions be supported or opposed? Are they practicing medicine without formal training and licensure and are their decisions in the best inerest of patients?
